David is a trained trauma and grief counsellor with a long history in Hospice care. He has traveled the world to observe first hand death and grief practices in many cultures including Mongolia, East Africa, and the Caribbean. Through story-telling, David will share his rural community hospice experiences and speak to the power of connection.

Drawing on his expertise as a physician, former Executive Director of Zen Hospice Project, and as a patient, he is an advocate for a healthcare system that maximizes quality of life and that minimises unnecessary suffering.
