Memorial Gifts
Donations made in memory or in honour of a loved one will be acknowledged with a donation card stating the donor’s name and mailing address and the name of the individual being remembered. Tax receipts are issued to the donors for donations of $20.00 or more.

Gifts in Kind
Donations with a value of $ 20.00 or more will receive a charitable receipt. Donating supplies and equipment enables us to continually meet the needs of the community. All in-kind donations must be accompanied by a statement of value, as per CRA requirements. View our current Wishlist.
Planned Giving
There is no greater gift to a charity than to leave a bequest in your will. We call it Planned Giving because it is realized after someone has died yet it allows them to continue to give long after they are gone. It’s a mark to say, “I was here and this was important to me”.
Sample Bequest Wording
Sample clauses for wording your bequest. Proper wording is vital to the validity of a bequest. Beth Donovan Hospice recommends the following will clauses for your use:
Specific amount bequest: “I DIRECT my trustee(s) to pay the sum of DOLLARS ($ ) to BETH DONOVAN HOSPICE, currently located at 1107 French Settlement Rd. Kemptville, ON K0G 1J0 , for its general purposes. The receipt of an appropriate officer of Beth Donovan Hospice shall be a sufficient discharge of my Trustee(s).”
Residual bequest: “I DIRECT my trustee(s) to pay (insert number that equates to percentage) parts of the residue of my estate to BETH DONOVAN HOSPICE, currently located at 1107 French Settlement Rd. Kemptville, ON K0G 1J0, for its general purposes. The receipt of an appropriate officer of Beth Donovan Hospice shall be a sufficient discharge of my Trustee(s).”
We encourage you to direct planned gifts to general purposes so they may be utilized at the time of receipt where the need is greatest, you will impact the whole community and all clients and families that we serve. You may, however, direct your bequest to a specific program, or allow us to use it where it is most needed at the time received.
